Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-02-03
This Privacy Policy explains how the Sugar Sensei mobile application ("App") and its public website ("Site") collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App or Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
Website waitlist
If you join the waitlist on our Site, we collect the email address (and optionally your name, if you choose to share it) in order to send early access and product updates. We do not sell your email address.
We use MailerLite as our email service provider to manage the waitlist and send emails. MailerLite processes your information on our behalf under their own privacy policy.
1. Data we collect
The App is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on your usage, we may collect:
- Usage data: in‑app events (e.g. onboarding answers, check‑ins, paywall views) to help improve the App.
- Subscription data: anonymous identifiers from Apple / RevenueCat to manage trials and premium access.
- Device information: such as device model, OS version, and crash logs, via analytics/error tracking tools.
2. No health or sensitive categories
The App does not intentionally collect “special categories” of personal data (e.g. health records or medical diagnoses). Reflections you enter about your day are treated as self‑tracking notes, not as clinical information.
3. How we use your data
We use aggregated and event‑level data to:
- Provide and improve core features (onboarding, daily check‑ins, progress timeline).
- Understand which parts of the App are useful and which are confusing.
- Detect and fix crashes, bugs, and performance issues.
4. Third‑party services
The App may use trusted third‑party services, for example:
- Supabase – for secure storage of anonymized onboarding and usage data.
- RevenueCat – to manage in‑app purchases, trials, and subscriptions.
- Sentry or similar error tracking – to collect crash reports and technical logs.
These services process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and data protection terms.
5. Data retention
We keep data only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App and understand its usage. If you stop using the App, data associated with anonymous identifiers may eventually be removed during routine clean‑up.
6. Your choices
- You can delete the App at any time; this removes local data from your device.
- You can disable analytics or tracking in your device settings where applicable (e.g. “Allow Apps to Request to Track”).
- If you want to request deletion of data stored on our servers (where technically feasible), contact us using the email below.
7. Your data protection rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Request restriction or object to certain processing.
- Request data portability where applicable.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the email below.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
11. Contact
For questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, you can contact the developer at: andi.shipitt@gmail.com .
